Shipping Policy

At DOWNLITE, we are committed to providing efficient and reliable shipping services for our wholesale customers. Please review our shipping policy below for important information regarding order processing, shipping methods, and other details.


Order Processing

  • In-Stock Items: Orders are processed within 4-5 business days if the items are in stock.
  • Out-of-Stock Items: If you order more than what is in stock, the production lead time is approximately 4 to 8 weeks.
  • Weekend Orders: Orders placed between Friday afternoon and Sunday night will be entered into our system on Monday morning.
  • Holiday Shipping: Shipping times around major holidays will be set in advance and shared with our partners.

Shipping Methods

  • Carrier: All orders are shipped using our FedEx shipping account.
  • Third-Party Accounts: We are unable to utilize third-party freight accounts at this time.
  • Expedited Shipping: We do not currently support Next Day or 2nd-Day Air shipping options.
  • Packing Slips & Labels: Customized packing slips and modifications to the mailing label on the outside of the box are not available.
  • Signature Requirement: We do not use signature-required services from FedEx or UPS.
  • Planning Ahead: If your shipping needs exceed what we offer, we recommend ordering additional items to keep on hand in your warehouse.

Shipping Estimates & Adjustments

  • Shipping Calculator: Our calculator provides an estimate based on box size, weight, and dimensions.
  • Undercharged Freight: If the freight charged does not cover the full shipping cost, we reserve the right to select a more cost-effective shipping method.
  • Alternative Methods: We may choose to ship via Less Than Truckload (LTL) if it's more economical due to undercharged freight.
  • FedEx Ground Requests: If you require shipping exclusively via FedEx Ground, please contact us to confirm.

Alaska & Hawaii Orders

  • Surcharges: Orders to Hawaii and Alaska may incur a surcharge ranging from 25% to 50% of the order value, based on the cubic measurements of the items.
  • Approval Needed: We will not process these orders until you approve the surcharges.
  • Accuracy: Due to the bulky nature of our items, shipping calculations are not accurate for these locations.

LTL Shipments

  • Additional Fees: Shipping estimates do not include accessorial fees such as liftgate service, address type, scheduled appointments, inside delivery, or limited access delivery.
  • Cost Adjustments: Any additional LTL requirements will result in higher shipping costs that will need to be collected.
  • Assistance: Please call us if you have questions or special requirements to ensure accurate shipping costs.

Freight Rate Volatility

  • Rate Changes: Freight rates have been volatile in 2024 and are subject to change without notice.

International Shipments

  • Shipping Limitations: We are unable to ship outside of the United States.
  • Freight Forwarders: Please use a freight forwarder for international shipments.
